Kenya; an Expert guide to the Kenyan Coast and Islands

Straddling the Equator, The Kenyan Coast and its numerous islands have long been regarded as a fantastic Indian Ocean location for both summer and winter sun.

Sadly though, due to a tendency to cram as many visitors as possible into a minivan, the country has also managed to gain a poor reputation for overcrowded parks and beach hawkers. Over the last decade, however, with the advent of responsible tourism and community management, there has been a shift in focus away from numbers and back to quality.

With this new focus has also come a new and improved brand of lodge and camp experience. Flying safaris, incorporating two or more destinations in a trip, have today become the standard, combining great game viewing with the powdery white beaches of the coast.
